You’ve been asking us for a long time to create interactive content that’s easy to access on your Alexa smart speaker. We’re excited to share that the new Kindspace wellness activities are now live. All you need to say to check out the new content is “Alexa, ask Kindspace for a wellness activity”. Read on to find out more about the activity packages and their benefits. We can’t wait for you to try them out and let us know what you think.
What’s New on Kindspace
The vision is to bring you activities to cover a range of wellbeing requirements and to bring some calm, creativity and joy into your life. We’ve carefully selected the following activities as they are important foundations to wellbeing: journaling, breathing exercises, guided affirmations, poetry and a short story collection. These practices are shown to have significant mental health benefits and only require a small time commitment, so are easy to add to your daily routine.
Journaling
The journaling activities sit in our Reflective pillar.
Each day you can use the journaling prompts and spend just 10 minutes writing to get your day off to a good start or to reflect on the day you’ve had. There are two options to choose from a Morning Journal or an Evening Journal. The audio guides you through some journaling prompts. You can write in a notebook, or use a digital solution like our editable PDF journaling pages or Notion workspace.
Breathing Exercises
The breathing exercises sit in our Restorative pillar.
Breathing is a bodily function that we take for granted, but it is extremely powerful at supporting our mental wellbeing. The Kindspace breathing exercises introduce different breathing methods to help you lower stress, improve mental focus and enhance physical performance.
The aim of the Kindspace breathing exercises is to help you to practice a range of different breathing techniques and discover the many life changing benefits they have to offer. Using Kindspace every day will enrich your life and you will be amazed at how only a few minutes each day improves your wellbeing.
We have a number of different packages to choose from depending on what aspect of your wellbeing that you wish to focus on.
Package one is designed to help you when you need an energy boost, the second package is for when you feel overwhelmed and the third package is for when you need space or time out.
Alexa will ask you to choose a package. The options are Energy Boost, Managing Overwhelm and Creating Space. You can either use your voice to make this choice or select using the buttons if you have a device with a screen.
You will then be asked to choose an exercise from the following options.
Once you have selected the exercise you wish to try you will be given a very short introduction, before being asked if you are ready to proceed. Just say yes and the experience will begin.
When you finish the exercise, you will be given the option to choose another exercise or to finish your session.
The Kindspace Poetry Collection
Our poetry collection sits in the Creative pillar.
We’ve gathered our favourite poetry into themes, including poems about nature, our human experience and a collection that will leave you feeling uplifted. Some of these poems you might remember from your younger days and we hope they bring you some comfort and escapism.
Alexa will ask you to choose a package. To choose one of the themes just say Nature, Human Experience or Uplifting. You can either use your voice to make this choice or select using the buttons if you have a device with a screen

Guided Affirmations
The guided affirmations sit in our Reflective pillar.
Our internal monologue is there to guide us, but did you know that you can actually change your thoughts through simple mantras to reframe your perspective on life? Affirmations can help you to achieve your goals, by attracting the things you want.
The aim of the Kindspace guided affirmations is to help you to practice shifting your perspective. This doesn’t mean denying any difficulties in your life, but is more about channelling your energy in a way that is constructive, to fill you with hope and remind you of your inner strength and beauty.
In each Kindspace guided affirmation session, we bring you a specially selected affirmation to boost your wellbeing. As you listen along to the audio, feel empowered and say the mantra out loud or write in your journal. When you finish the exercise, you will be given the option to explore more of the Kindspace features.
Bedtime Stories for Stressed Grown-ups
Our bedtime stories sit in the Creative pillar and are designed to help you unwind at the end of a long day. They are a beautiful collection of stories about life, with a soothing ending to help you drift off to sleep. There are ten stories in the collection, which you can find out more about here.
